Draught, 100ml at CBC. Near-black body. Brownish head. Dark fruity aroma alongside a scent of roasted malts. Taste of dark grapefruits in nice interplay with dark malts and anise. Solid bitter finish. Among my five bests at the festival (Copenhagen, 12.05.2012).

On tap at Copenhagen Beer Celebration.
Very dark brown beer, little tan head. Robust dark malts, a little roast and a little malt bitterness. Simcoe provides a really nice citrus contrast to the roast malt. Minerally fresh and sharply crisp it drinks way lighter than it’s abv. As James Brodie said - more Black IPA than Stout. Either way a very nice beer and great to see Brodies at an international event where they belong!

Draft. A black beer with a thin beige head. The aroma has notes of hops, malt, and caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of roasted malt and hops, leading to a bitter finish from both the hops and the roasted malt.
