Hazy India Pale Ale With Ingredients From Michigan
Pure Michigan Hazy is meant for the hazy times between the Mitten’s four seasons (you know, when it can be multiple seasons in the same day). The hop profile is robust and delightful with grassy, dank, citrus aromas from Cascade, Cashmere, and Bergamot hops from Brian over at Hop Alliance. The malt bill—Pale Ale Malt, Malted Oats, and White Wheat from Great Lakes Malting—adds complexity to the brew and highlights the hoppy orange and grapefruit flavors while adding caramel and baked bread-biscuity goodness.

Pours hazy pale yellow. There’s a mild citrus hop aroma. The flavor has low to moderate bitterness with citrus and piney hops. Medium body. It’s pretty good, especially for a session style.

12 oz can. Pours a hazy pale yellow with a white head. Light aroma of citrus and herbal hops. Flavor is again light, with more pale malt than anything, still some citrusy, floral hops. A bit disappointing, honestly.
