This continent-spanning collaboration was aged in WhistlePig Estate Rye whiskey barrels with added single-origin French oaks for twelve months, and finished Sur Lie for an additional six in freshly dumped French oak red wine barrels from Herman Story Wines. A vortex of vinous, lumber-derived cherry, vanilla, smoke, and disturbed earth emanate from a swirled glass in this, our most wood-focused beer to-date. "How come all you guys sit on your helmets?"

Can big thanks to my bro. It pours clear deep rich red - brown with a decent bubbly khaki head. The aroma is slick, oily, heady booze, vanilla, whiskey fudge, Scottish tablet, molasses, dried fruits and berries, jammy, tangy, malt loaf, fruit loaf, caramac, toasty malts, splash of red wine, chocolate and a touch of spice. The taste is slick, oily, toothy, chewy, bitter - sweet, loads of dried dark fruits and berries, raisin, cherry, sultana, fig, warming booze, vinous, jammy vibes, whiskey fudge, toffee, Scottish tablet, vanilla, touch of toasty coconut, malt loaf, treacle tart and dull tannin with a slick, warming finale. Full body and average carbonation.. Lovely depth of flavour and balance. Revolution are the US bosses of high abv.

Thin body which should surprise nobody, sweet, boozy, oily. Cane sugar syrup, oak, raisin, vanilla, vinous and rich. Pretty complex and layered but stays in balance, very nice.

Too easy to drink as always from rev, super smooth BiL with hints of red wine fruitiness and tannins on the nose and front, then a delicious truck load of caramel and dates arrives.
