We’ve taken two Aussie hop stars – Ella and Vic Secret – and overlaid them with the wonderfully smooth, floral American Citra hop to create a beer that is so much more than the sum of its parts.

Fluffy white head left a cover on a hazy dark lemon coloured body. Malt & bitter lemon juice aroma. Medium body. Smooth on the palate - quite flat. This is followed by a crisp clean back. Bitter lemon, mango, pith & hints of malt. To the back there’s a very long bitter finish.

Bottle on holiday in East Portlemouth, 02/05/17. Hazed golden orange with a decent off white head. Nose is melon, orange pith, light herb, spruce, floral bite, grassy hops. Taste comprises bitter orange, mango, light mineral bite, citric tinged straw, mandarin. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, drying close spiked with semi aggressive hop bitterness. Decent enough bitter number ... IPA only in name ... APA in reality.

Bottle from O’Brien’s, Athlone [270317]
Yellow, hazy, bubbly white head
Aroma of grapefruit, orange, citrus zest, good zesty nose
Taste of bitter grapefruit zest, citrus zest, soft sweet pale malt background, good flavour, nice citrus fruits, tasty
Palate - Soft carb, medium body, good balance, refreshing. Finish - good bitter zest
Overall - I like this - some of the IPA style beers for me have been a bit over malty, but the lighter malts here are spot on and don’t cramp the hop flavour. This is one of their best I’ve tried

Tap at the Brew Dock, Dublin. Poured a slightly hazy straw colour with a thin broken white head. The aroma is grassy hop, light citrus. The flavour is moderate bitter with a light, crisp, dry light pepper spice, light fruit, hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation.
