Keg halfpint at Brew Dock, Dublin. Black colour, no head. Aroma of roast malts, hints of cherries and marzipan. Fruity and mildly roasty flavour, notes of cherries, a hint of almonds.

Tap at Against the Grain, Dublin. Poured a clear dark brown with a long-lasting frothy light tan head. The aroma is roasty malt, creamy caramel. The flavour is moderate sweet super light sour with a roasty, light floral medicinal sweet malt, light tart cherry, light hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Draught @ The Brew Dock, Dublin, shared with Niilstrong. Black color, small beige head. Smell and taste malts, soft toasted malts, dark malts, light cherry. Actually blends together quite well. Nicely done.

Bottle from Oโ€™Brienโ€™s, Athlone [051216]
Black, tan head, large yeast particles
Aroma of roasted malts, soft burnt toast, light fruit
Taste of roasted malts, dark malts, dab of dark chocolate. Fairly rich malts, but expected a bit more flavour for the abv.
Palate - Soft carb, medium body, soft bitter roast, soft sweet. Finsh is quite dry, getting some very soft fruit notes now, roasted malt
Overall - Not keen on cherry, so good for me there is not much of it in here. OK. Bit underwhelming TBH
