Cask at the Sussex Arms, Twickenham Green - 30/11/12. Light black with a thin bubbly tan head that retains well. Nose is treacle toffee, soy sauce, liqourice, molasses. Taste comprises, dark toffee, roast malt, touch of pine and hops, slight burnt notes, liqourice, light chocolate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation leading to a slightly bitter and dry finish. A decent stout which crosses over into black IPA terrirory in some respects.
