Cask @ The Railwayman's Arms, Bridgnorth. Pours dark with small tan topping. Lots of coffee jumping out on the nose giving a big nod to the coffee flavours to come. Some coal and ashy hints, though that could just be suggestive thanks to the name, some chocolate notes, dry roast, dark malts but largely this beer is all about the coffee. Not bad.

Bottle from the Real Ale Warehouse. Pours clear red-brown with a short-lived thin beige head. Aromas of chocolate and light coffee. Taste is more of the same. Not bad.

Bottle from The Fountain, Walsall. Poured a clear reddish brown with a frothy long-lasting light tan head. The aroma is roasty malt, coffee, light hop. The flavour is moderate to light sweet with a dry roasty sweet malt, fruity, light liquorice hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.
