We’ve always believed the best way to respect tradition is to brew the unexpected. So when we set out to create a sessionable lager befitting of the Pacific Northwest, our sense of exploration led us to this dry-hopped wonder befitting of everyday adventure. Citrusy Tettnang Mandarina hops combine with the crisp, bright character of a traditional lager to deliver a beer that is truly refreshing, and undoubtedly worth sharing.

12 ounce bottle into lager glass, best before 4/26/2017. Pours slightly hazy/cloudy pale golden/straw color with a 1 finger dense white head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings down the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of lemon, tangerine, melon, cracker, biscuit, herbal, light pepper, and floral/grassy earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance of citrus/earthy hops and moderate pale malt notes; with good strength. Taste of big lemon, tangerine, melon, cracker, biscuit, herbal, pepper, and floral/grassy earthiness. Light-moderate herbal/spicy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of lemon, tangerine, melon, cracker, biscuit, herbal, pepper, and floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Great robustness and balance of citrus/earthy hops and moderate pale malt flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance, and zero lingering hop astringency after the finish. Light-moderate dryness from bitterness, increasing through the glass. Perfectly clean lagering with zero yeast notes present. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately crisp, and bready/grainy/sticky balanced mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 5.5%. Overall this is a great pale lager. All around great robustness and balance of citrus/earthy hops and moderate pale malt flavors; very smooth, crisp, and refreshing to drink. Pleasantly hoppy on flavors; still remaining very well balanced, flavorful, and not too bitter/drying. A really enjoyable offering.

Bottle from Total Wine in Sacramento, CA. Pours clear, bright gold with a white head. Aroma is bready with some floral/citrus and maybe herbal. Near med body. Flavor is more hoppy than malty. Some citrus, and maybe some spice. Noble hop spice. It’s not unbalanced, but the hop definitely outshines the malt flavorwise. Finally someone made a pale lager that’s decently drinkable!
