This is our inaugural brew, conceptualized as our core beer. As such, it is the herald of spring.
Gentle aromas of freshly roasted cacao nibs (courtesy of our friends at Flow Cacao) intermingle with specialty malts from one of the oldest malting plants in the world (Castle Malting, procured by the wonderful true.beer). Orange peel completes the alchemical formulae to give rise to an experience like no other.
All this at a mere 3.7% alcohol.

Keg at Hopium, Plovdiv. Dark brown, small head. Aroma of coffee and licorice. Mid sweet with medium body and clean, rounded mouthfeel. Burnt toast and earth. Long bitter finish.

Good enough overall, nicely toasted dark mats, brown bread, earthy hops, a little dry cocoa, faint accents of citrus peel. Nice amount of character for the ABV. Drinks fine.
