Tap @ Brewdog Lothian Road, Edinburgh. Light hazy golden with a white head. Aroma is sweet, malty and light hoppy - citrus. Flavor is medium sweet and rather bitter. Dry and moderate bitter finish. 250726

Keg at Brewdog Waterloo. Hazy-opaque amber. Foamy white head. Aroma has candied stone fruit. An underlying soft fruitiness. Flavourwise there's an initially prickly citrus sourness before a wave of soft fruit sweetness arrives. But the bitterness reasserts itself with more vigour into the finish. Light-medium bodied. Slick. Soft-fizzy carbonation is a tad restrained. Long dry somewhat astringent finish. Best of the day but still not suoer fantastic like.

Can from BD only store. It lives crystal clear clear amber with a thick, fluffy white head. The aroma is zingy, tangy, juicy grapefruit, pomelo, nip of pine, fruit salad, lychee and candied citrus. The taste is crisp, dry, snappy, nip of bitterness, green pine, touch of spice, pithy, zesty, pink grapefruit , pomelo, blood orange, touch of sweetness in the malt base, biscuity snap and a nip of alcohol with a drying, bitter finale. Medium body and moderate, fluffy carbonation. Decent old school west coaster.

Draft pours clear amber with a thick head that reduces to thin foam. Thin mouthfeel with an aroma that teases sweetness and chocolate but a flavor that counterpunches with astringency and a lingering pine resin bitterness. Nice IPA.

Yellow can for 2 bucks at the vintage estate. I thought fer sher I tasted this already, I guess it was that other sweetwater west coast IPA. Pour is clear but a little darker than pale, something like an orange tinted pale. The head is gigantic, even with a gentle pour the head takes up most of the glass and settles to a craggy half glass after a few minutes. Each pour does the same, visually quite lively. The nose is muted hop perfume, can barely smell it. First taste is difficult; definitely a terribly on style IPA fer sher. Whew, long sticky near astringent bitter bite that does not fade. Blah. For a lager lover this stuff is gaudy gawky gloomy gross grotesque glib glum and grievous. Will somebody please give me an ice cold macro pale light lager to wash this down with as a chaser? hehehehh. I guess my girlie pale lager loven palate will never mature enough to enjoy the gahzillion different IPA out there; they all practically taste the same: Appallingly horrifying. wink wink. At least it does have a decent level of carbonation that tries to keep my mind off the bitter finish.
