This is a blend of whiskey barrel aged Porter with a batch of unbarreled Stout. It has a maximum of roasty malt flavor, hop bitterness, wood/oak overtones and bourbon-vanilla notes.

Old bottle from Toby. Gusher. Pours black and flat. Aroma is grapes, really holding on to the wine barrel notes. Taste too brings some sweetness, grape jelly and chocolate. Held up well.

Bottle. Dark brown beer with a brown head. Chocolate and malt aroma with light vanilla. Dark malt and light whiskey flavor with light vanilla. Medium bodied. Dark malt and light whiskey notes linger with light earthiness and light oak.

Bottle. Pours a dark brown and ruby hue with small tan head. The aroma is roast and oak. Thin mouthfeel with a sweet malt chocolate and bitter finish. Easy to drink a good Imperial porter from Bridgeport.

Opaque black beer. Soft and semi dry palate. Mildly toasted malt. Mild tangyness and a distinct banana sweetness. A little aniseed as well. Very dry finish which is also somewhat sacharrin. Alright but not really joined up.

This beer comes with 3-D glasses for reading the label. It produces a tall, thick tan head when poured, and sits nicely over a deep dense brown body. Roast malt aromas. Balanced flavor but unimaginative.

Ok NEVER mind the BEER. THIS has a 3D label, and i was luckily wearing my 3D glasses to the Pre DLD event ... Freaky label ... black ... roast malt nose ... light bitter roast ... quite meaty ... little dry roast ... ok bit just didnt hit that spot.

22oz bottle shared by/with CaptainCougar and company. Black in color, lacy non-head. Smooth and subdued malty darkness. Bitter chocolate aroma, a touch off. The taste is really nice, with some minimal underlying berry tones. An odd pungent creaminess which is brought on by barreling. Alcohol never intrusive to the overall enjoyment. Well done, fairly unique. Good job with the bourbon/pinot noir barreling, worked out well.
