Draught at Brewskival, Sat Aug 26, 2017.Black color, dark brown head. Nutty, prominent alcohol scent. Fruity, nutty, alcohol taste. Nutty aftertaste. Medium full mouthfeel, medium bitterness.6/4/7/3/12=3.2

Shared 33cl bottle. Pours almost black with a tan small short-lived tan head. Aroma of cocoa, cinnamon, vanilla and hazelnut. Taste follows nose with roasted malt, wood, alcohol, spices. Intense.

28/9/17: Suikerbrood! Rich, sweet, loads of cookie aroma, chocolate and vanilla. All three beans present, working great. Almost as great as the BA. (9)

16/11/19: Canned 210319. Not nearly as rich and chocolatey as I remember. This one is super heavy on the tonka, making it pretty sharp and cinnamonish. Vanilla and cocoa can't beat it, and are there, but in the background. Little bit thin. Sugary, bitter. (7)

Kicsi, barna, nem túl tartós hab, fekete szín. Csokis, vaníliás, aszalt gyümölcsös illat. Édeskés, csokis, kakaós, vaníliás ízek, meg még valami, ami gondolom a tonkabab. Testes, közepesen szénsavas, erősen keserű. Nagyon finom, különleges ízvilágú, jó arányokkal rendelkező sör.

Tap at CBM Sendai. Lovely black with lace. Weird nose, shiso (!), mint, vanilla, sweet tofu, almond. Also notes of licorice and lots of spice. Crazy additives take over way too much, but it still is tasty.

At Ghent Beer Festival 2017. Cloudy black with a thin, lasting, beige head. The aroma contains vanilla, coffee, (roasted) malt, dark & milk chocolate, caramel, nuts and coconut. It tastes medium to heavy sweet and light bitter with a light roasted, warming, alcoholic finish. Full body, oily/creamy texture, soft carbonation. Exquisite aroma, great palate. A must-drink.

Black with dark head. Aroma is very strong with Tonka beans. Flavour is similar but with added complexity from the dark malts. The hint of booze is welcome as it reduces the overall sweetness. Tonka beans are still not my thing.

Schöner dunkler Schaum, der leider schnell wegbricht - wer kanns den 13% verdenken? In der Nase Röstmalz, dunkler Kuchenboden, Zartbitter. Im Trunk leicht medizinisch, Jägermeister, alkoholisch, Kakaokuchen, Likör. Als Absacker zum Schoko-Dessert perfekt.

Mehrfach aus Flasche und von Fass (Stone Berlin) 2016-2017 getrunken. Das Bier versetzt einen immer wieder in die Weihnachtszeit. Hier hat man neben einer wunderbaren Spekulatiusnote auch eine richtig fette hochprozentiger Schokoladearomen. Der Alkohol ist auch hier pefekt Eingebunden. Geiles Zeug! Nachtrag 2017-05: Heute jedoch hielten sich die Spekulatiusnoten im Hintergrund und fette süße Pflaumen dominierten diese Bier. Wie geil ist das denn. Aus der Dose (bbe 08.08.2029 / 12,0%) im 2022-04 getrunken. Die drei Bohnen zeigen hier was sie können. Dazu hat sich wie beiden 2016er & 2017er nun auch beim 2019er ein wunderbares Pflaumenaroma sich im Vordergrund gebildet und dahinter runden die Aromen der 3 Bohnen das Stout ab. Und es überraschend süß, aber ich hatte paar Jahre keins mehr im Glas. Aus der Flasche (bbe 10.04.2028 / 12,0%) im 2022-04 getrunken. Deutlich durchgereifter und nicht so süß wodurch die Röstaromen kräftiger und das Stout etwas bitterer machen. Aber das tolle Pflaumenaroma ist immer noch da und das Schokoladearoma präsenter als das Tonka und Vanilie Aroma.

Black with little brown head. Aroma is dark chocolate vanilla cocoa cinnamon a bit cream. Taste is very balanced. Sweet vanilla and chocolate with some bitter cocoa. Incredibly smooth and velvety soothing. Full body. Long finish. So nice, it hurts. Oida!
