Cask at the Pump House, Shirley, Solihull. Poured a crystal clear straw colour with a frothy white head and some clingy lace. The aroma is skunky gluey malt, light hop. The flavour is moderate to light bitter with a woody hop, light citrus palate and a lingering bitter finish. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Cask at The Cleveland Arms, London. Pours clear, golden-brown with a fine, creamy white head. Mild toasty malt nose. Nice, mild but well rounded flavor, with toasty malts, light caramel, bread, some darkened citrus. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Good balance to finish with toasty, mild caramel malts as the centerpiece, along with some mellow orange. It’s like a very nice, mellow amber ale. The hop profile is not too aggressive, and the beer isn’t too sweet. Good one.
