Clear, dark brown colored, small beige head, not too lasting. Aroma is of caramel malt, nuts, bit toasty, strong citrus and floral hops. Taste is medium sweet caramalt, bit toasted nuts and brown sugar, medium+ citrus and floral hoppy aroma and medium bitterness, bit roasted bitterness, dry finish. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, resiny. Extremely quaffable! (bottle, Bierhalle Deconinck, Vichte)

On tap (as "BrewDog Hopped-Up Brown Ale") at BD57, Oslo. Dark mahogany with a moderate, beige head. If as at first a bit afraid that I mixed it up with the BIPA, because it sure reminds me of that when I smell it. Nice mixture of roasty and hoppy aroma both in aroma and flavour. It has a certain edge and freshness that’s hard to explain or pinpoint why. Moderate to medium sweet with lovely hoppy and malty flavours - well balanced with a nice bitterness. Bottle shared by Lukka18, many thanks! Complex, very intense and very well balanced. Lots of coffee combined with high hoppy bitterness and lots of flavour, grassy, resiny. Woody. Very tasty, easy drinking. Very good.

Pours a slightly hazy, almost perfectly clear, chestnut copepry color, topped with a big foamy head, beige and very lasting. Very nice fruity hop aroma, peach, grapes and more tropic fruits. Just a hint of caramel, with pine later on. Bittery from the start with quite herbal finish. Also fairly peppery. Light body with low carbonation. A bit too herbal taste. Aroma makes it better.

Clear deep red - amber beer, good cream colour head. Palate is light and fairly dry, mild fine carbonation. Malts bring a sweetish toffee streak. Bitterish fruits ensue, touch of plum. Bitter floralness. Light dry finish. Strong bitter linger. Not the smoothest Brown Ale but goes down all right.

What a lovely beer this is, probably more accurately described as a Brown IPA. Nuts, honey, caramel, marshmallow and a hint of chocolate and smoke combine with a little hoppy aroma that belies the bitterness to come on tasting. Grapefruit and a hint of tropical fruit are prominent in the mouth. There’s a really nice balanced palate holding it all together. Total winner.
