Bottled. A brown beer with a lazing brown head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt, bread, citrus fruits, and hops. The flavor is sweet with notes of roasted malt, bread, hops, and citrus fruits, leading to a bitter finish.

On tap at Mikkeller Oakland. It pours black with a light tan head. The aroma has some chocolate syrup and a little piney hops. Smells pretty potent. The flavor is a little more smoky and smooth with some piney flavors, but low bitterness. More smoke in the finish. Seems more like an intense hoppy Porter to me. Decent.

Tap at Mikkeller Bangkok. Poured a murky dark brown with a thin off white head and some broken lace. The aroma is smoky malt, light hop, some alcohol. The flavour is moderate to strong bitter with a big medicinal alcohol, roasty, light grassy hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation.
