0,25l bottle at home bought from Der Burgenländer, Vienna. BB 04/2026. amber clear color, small white head. smells marzipan, toffee, ripe fruits, light spices, nice to very nice smell. full body, soft carbonation. tastes ripe fruits, marzipan, toffee, spices, light vanilla, light apple. finishes lightly sweet with notes of vanilla, toffee and marzipan. nice one, not sweet, not cloying, good style example, rather drinkable. Finish trails away a bit, but not a big issue. Good to very good one. Not much noticeable from the barrel (only light vanilla notes).

Sampled from bottle at Craft Bier Fest Wien Tasting Sessions, shared by Werckmeister. Thanks Stefan!
Bright orange, moderately hazy body, with a small, off-white head.
Aroma of sour dried fruits, stone fruits, slight funk, some sweet malts.
Taste is quite sweet, with dried fruits, ripe fruits, sweet apples, sweet malts, alcohol.
Quite full, oily mouthfeel, with an average carbonation.
Finishes sweet, a bit sour, fruity, sweet malty.
Nice one. Drinks quite easy for the ABV and with nice, distinct fruit notes. Overall nothing special though, a bit too characterless for a barrel aged Doppelbock.
