Flying Squirrel is an American version of the Northern English Brown Ale. It is a highly drinkable brown ale that has moderate malt sweetness with a nutty/caramel character. Hop bitterness and malt are well balanced, making this a very enjoyable beer. Be on the lookout while you imbibe -- you might have a furry rodent friend dropping in on you from above.

12 oz. can from Total Wine. Pours a crystal clear bronze color with a small khaki head and decent retention. Only a few spots of lacing. Strong nutty aroma. Really good roasted nut flavor throughout. Slightly sweet. A little thin for the style, but the flavor makes up for that. Medium-light carbonation. Low bitterness. Super clean and smooth, and very repeatable. Tasty, sweet brown ale.
