Brewing to a greater strength than normal helps to produce more complex alcohols, which compliment the natural lemony esters of the yeast. Layered on top of that is a punch of fresh, herbaceous, lemongrass added at the end of the boil.

Tap at the Ho Chi Minh brewpub. Poured a hazy straw colour with a thin broken white head and some broken lace. The aroma is light zesty citrus, some alcohol. The flavour is moderate bitter with a big yeasty, burning liqourice alcohol, light lemongrass palate and a long alcoholic bitter finish. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. Not so bad but the alcohol is taking over and dominating the beer over any other flavours. It’s half way towards a cheap malt liquor. Pull it back guys!
