31/X/25 - 33cl bottle from a trade or gift, shared @ home, BB: ?1/2030, BR86-? (2025-1085) Thanks to Siegfried for the bottle!
Clear dark brown beer, small creamy beige head, unstable, falls down and dissipates quickly. Aroma: very nice, lots of caramel, alcohol, whisky, some bourbon, vanilla, malty, chocolate notes, a little spicy, some cinnamon, maple syrup. MF: soft carbon, medium to full body. Taste: very sugary and sweet start, lots of caramel, milk chocolate, lots of alcohol, gentle roast, very sugary, maple syrup, more alcohol. Aftertaste: sweet, alcohol, sugary, some vanilla, soft bitterness, more alcohol, mocha, caramel, a bit oxidized, some Sherry and Port notes, a little earthy, ok. Not as bad as that Mighty Matroesjka once, but I have a feeling itβs probably the same base beer. The barrel ageing surely did it good.
