Cask at Station East, Gateshead, 14/05/2025.
Clear golden with an off white cap that thins to a swirl.
Nose is mellow citric sherbets, grass, melon, soft malts.
Taste comprises papaya, tangerine, light floral notes, grass.
Medium bodied, soft carbonation, semi drying close with mellow light juicy hop bitterness.
Tidy enough cask pale.

Deadication beer to Pope Stephen II, died on this day, as it's quite topical given the funeral for the latest one took place earlier. Easy texture and strength pale, with a slight grittiness to its very soft citrus fruit. These are best in aroma.

On cask at Old poet's Corner, Ashover - Pale yellow body, thin white head. Lightly bitter start, fresh little citrus kick, but after that all rather samey.
