30 months rum barrel-aged.
A dark stock ale, aged in our very first rum barrel, which previously held our Rackham's Rum Shoppe imperial stout.
Vinous, woody, gentle roast, complex and a touch of rum warmth.

The brethren provideth the darkneth. Dsrk dark brown. Held up in the light, it's somewhere between chocolate and muddy puddle. Frothy foamy light beige head. Aroma is rum sodden. Underlying malty chocolate. Peripheral vinous notes. Initial vinous impact from the flavour. It's in throughout. Additional tart berries. Underlying roast and dark malts. Warming. The rum is evident but less so than in the aroma. Medium bodied. Slick to oily. Soft-fizzy carbonation. Long astringent finish. Punchy. Seems more than 7.5%.
