Bottle from the Santa Barbara brewpub. The family was on the way to LEGOLAND and stopped by 2 days before the release. They were nice enough to sell me the first bottle from there as they had just arrived! Slightly hazy mahogany with a small ivory head. Aroma is massive peat. Moderate rich malt, bread and caramel in support. Moderate oak. Flavor is mix of overt oak and peat. Back half adds maltiness. Slight orange in the back half as well.
