Aged in Buffalo Trace Kentucky Bourbon Barrels, Speak with Animals, features a hearty dose of bourbon and American oak. Full bodied and bone warming without overwhelming sweetness, taste is a mellow medley of fudge, dark chocolate, vanilla, caramel, dried fig and plum.
We have had the privilege of partnering with the HSDR twice for Chronicle Brewing’s annual Dog Day Afternoon. Given the current restrictions prohibiting our ability to host our fundraiser and celebrate the work they do in person, we have decided to collab on this celebratory beer release.

Aroma: a bit meaty, some fruity character, kinda weird.

Poured from 500mL bottle. Very dark brown with minimal light beige head. Woody oak, feint dark fruits and vanilla, touch of a buttery texture while being thinner-medium bodied, a bit muted. Meh.
