Draught@CBC2016. Black colour, small brown head. Aroma is liquorice, some toffee, alcohol and mild wood. Flavour is fruity, alcoholic, some raisins, mild roasted notes, liquorice and finishes in a rather boozy way.

Tap @ CBC2016. Pours pitch black with a medium brown head. Notes of spices, fudge, crackers, vanilla, cocoa, light boozy, chili heaty finish. Wish I’d dug deeper into this one.

Pitch black color. Excellent charred wood, vanilla, dark chocolate, nutty, molasses and coffee notes in the nose. Wow. Low carbonation really nice charred wood and bourbon character. But mouthfeel is not as great as expected. Modestly boozy. I meant it’s good, but it’s just not mindblowing on the palate. Slightly sweet.

Barrel-aged beauty, a thick, cuddly, warm loaf of decadent stout goodness. All your favorite Bomb! goodies, mixed in with a hefty bourbon finish and a woodsy oak flourish in the finish. Boozy heat adds depth to the pepper spice, and the bourbon melds nicely with the vanilla and cacao. Spent too much time drinking the deconstructed Bombs; nice to get back to the real thing.

Bottle bought in Portland in 2016. Black with a small tan head. Aroma and taste of dark malt, coffee, chocolate and some bourbon. Smooth and with a well hidden alcohol. A pleasant one.

12 oz bottle poured at Matt's. Huge thanks to Greg for sending this bottle my way. Held on to it for a good occasion, and tonight seemed perfect. Delicious imperial here. Plenty of chocolate character, and the chilies really make an appearance, which I love. Vanilla cream body, but no sweetness really to speak of. Warming finish. Love the combination of bold stout and dessert stout here. Very fun barrel treatment. Just an overall great beer here.
