440ml can from Vinmonopolet Nettbutikk. A deep black body under a fawn-coloured head blanketing the glass. Dark malty aromas, well roasted with scent of liquorice and black chocolate. Well blended malt-driven taste of liquorice, grainy chocolate and a twist of dark fruits. Smoothly roasted finish. Does not taste the strong. A nice one. (Rating session at Finn's place, with djoeye and Finn, Tromsø 18.02.2021).

Can at home from Buxton online. A dense jet black coloured pour with a lasting dark tan creamy head. Aroma is rich salty roast, black liquorice, dark choc, light farmyard note. Flavour is composed of super rich cakey malts, burnt figgy pud, dark chocolate, liquorice, robust earthy roast. roast. Flavour is composed of full bodies, creamy, smooth, fine carbonation, velvety. Super rich, hides the abv very well. Supurb.

Can, via the brewery online shop. 330ml, which is very sensible. I’m all for it. Pours nicely oily, very dark mahogany brown. Sits nearly black in the glass. Fine and dense, lasting, leggy, tan head. Nose has dark chocolate malt. Sweet vine fruit. Light roast coffee bean. Bit of a cherry truffle thing. Taste has a dark chocolate sweetness to start, with a robust, chocolatey, vinous, burnt toast bitterness. Smooth mouthfeel with soft carbonation suggests a way lower ABV. Lingering chocolate bitterness to finish. Pastry-less blinder.

Can from my brother, thanks! Opened on a Monday, the day you need a beer the most. Very dark with a fine bubbled brown head. Super toasted notes, cacao, light soy, molasses, very powerful nose. Flavor is a silky sweet dessert at first, then follows up with a massive coffee-like roasted finish of smooth bitterness that balances the sugars. One of the best stouts I've had this winter.

440 ml can, from Vinmonopolet Bryne. ABV is 10.0%. Pitch black colour, large to moderate tan head. Nice aroma of roast malts, coffee, dark chocolate. Distinctly roasty flavour, medium sweet, notes of coffee and dark chocolate again, hints of vanilla and liquorice, medium bitter finish. Very good beer.

Taster at home courtesy of Saeglopur, big thanks. black color, small coffee colored head. smells bourbon, vanilla, toffee, earthy, some figs, light chocolate, some coffee, hints of some peat. very nice smell. full body, light carbonation. tastes of light peat, coffee, caramel, vanilla, nutty, marzipan, earthy, peppery, bitter chocolate, bit soy sauceish, tobacco. finishes lightly roasty bitter / sweet with notes of soy sauce, peppery and tobacco notes. very nice one, lovely balance, a lot going on, bit too heavy on the oxidation notes for me though.

330 ml bottle from Etre Groumet, bottled 24 June 19. Black body, with a medium, dense, creamy, coffee-colored head. Beautiful aroma of dark chocolate fudge, bourbon, soy sauce, coffee, tobacco, some dark fruits, slight vanilla. Tastes quite similar, with more ashy notes. Full, oily mouthfeel, with a moderate carbonation. Finishes wooden, medium roasty, a bit sweet, a bit ashy, with dark chocolate, coffee, bourbon, tobacco, some soy sauce. Tasty! Rich and complex, with the bourbon barrel perfectly integrated. Beautiful dark chocolate notes throughout, balanced by diverse roasty notes. Once again an outstanding barrel aged Impy by Buxton. Score: 9 / 4 / 8 / 4 / 17
