Czech dark beers are usually sweet as during the communist time they had reputation to be a ladies drink. But times changed so why not to have it dry finish dry hopped with not only czech nop, but also with a NZ citrusy touch, but with czech background.

Cask at the standing order... Dark brown... Thick tan head... Soft herbal fruits roast..... Dark malts fruits.. Soft dusty toffee roast malts.. Soft bitter Light metalic linger

Cask @ Commercial Inn, Sowerby Bridge. Dark reddish brown with a small and slightly off-white creamy head. Has a fusion of darker and roasted malts in a fairly easy-sipping texture. There’s a slight smoothness to this and the ale has a gentle sweetness.

Cask at the City Arms, Earlsdon, 16/09/15. Mahogany brown with a decent beige covering. Nose is dark malt, sweet notes, light floral, caramel, pinch of spice, cocoa rub. Taste comprises biscuit, earthy hop, light chocolate, spice, dark malt. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, semi drying close. Ok ... CDA? Hmmmm. But would I know ?

Pint at the Royal Hop Pole, Tewkesbury. Deep almost black colour with a tan head. Light citrus hop aroma and taste with roasted maltiness slight chocolate aftertaste.

Cask at the moon under water Watford jdw. Murky mahogany brown coloured pour with a halo of cream head. Aroma is nutty toasted barley, grainy roast, little cocoa, choc powder. Some earthy pine hop. Flavour is composed of, milk chocolate, nutty malts, little veg hop character, sweet malts, earthy pine. Palate is medium sweet, moderate carbonation. Little harsh earthy roast in the finish with fruity and piney hop.
