Tap at society Manchester. A clear pale gold with a fine white head. Aroma is subdued, pale grains, apple, fruitella, esters. Flavour is composed of light cereal apple, esters, jammy fruits. Palate is semi crisp, highish carbonation.

Deadication beer to English composer Frederic Cliffe, born on this day in 1857. Not so much a cliff, just a hilltop in the name of this beer, and the brewery is as I've been up to the unusual industrial estate towards the top of Crag Vale with just fields and moors around it! Clean tasting lager here, easy enough. Very pretty too.
