Clear gold with a creamy, white head. Lemon juice aroma with a touch of grain, all quite subdued. Taste is mildly bitter with a faint citric tinge. Light bodied, watery texture, refreshing in a watery sort of way. Naja. Ok for a hoppy lager, but there are a lot better beers at this ABV.

Nose is pale malts, straw, grains, light herb, lemon rind.
Taste comprises pale and bready malts, grass, lemon peel, straw.
Medium bodied, light spritzy carbonation, semi drying close.
Decent easy going logger-bier.

Reasonably clean and drinkable. Dry, some crispy pale biscuits, soft bitterness, a little grass and hay.

Deadication beer to English composer Frederic Cliffe, born on this day in 1857. Not so much a cliff, just a hilltop in the name of this beer, and the brewery is as I've been up to the unusual industrial estate towards the top of Crag Vale with just fields and moors around it! Clean tasting lager here, easy enough. Very pretty too.
