Undated bottle fresh from the brewery, drunk 5/23/25.
Clear, rich, ruddy-amber. Small, butter head.
Rich bourbon and oak with a lovely, lightly buttery character, healthy tannin but no great acidity (or, not more than you'd want). Just a hint of coconut/pineapple to go with the spirit and then a large helping of rich, succulent malt with excellent base malt giving mostly honey, white bread and long caramel. No toast. Good amount of raisin and fig, but not overdone there. Lingering vanilla, toffee, bourbon and oak tannin. No alcohol noted.
Soft, rich, rich maltiness with a not-quite-syrupy texture but still very deep. Balanced wonderfully by bourbon spice, moderate oak and coconut/pineapple-like tannic acidity. No alcohol, tons of excellent maltiness and great flavors stemming from a solid base malt foundation with not too much on the C malts.
