Our old-fashioned Porter now has added chocolate, from organic cacao nibs. Rich brown, rather than Black malt lends a biscuit flavour, with deep smooth dark-chocolate notes to add some subtle bitterness. A true malt-lover’s ale.

Cask at the Wellington, Birmingham. Poured a clear dark brown with a bubbly off white head. The aroma is light chocolate, woody hop. The flavour is moderate bitter with a roasty, smoke, coffee, light chocolate palate. Medium to light bodied with soft carbonation. Not a bad beer but a little light and needs more flavour.
