A dark amber ale loaded with traditional British hops to provide a balanced winter ale with a hop spiciness characteristic of our native varieties. Alcoholic but pale, our Winter Ale is the perfect drink for those cold winter evenings.

Bottle from Cotteridge Wines, Birmingham. Poured a hazy medium amber with a thin broken white head and some broken lace. The aroma is yeast, floral hop. The flavour is moderate bitter with a yeasty and rather unpleasant floral hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. I struggled to finish this. Not the greatest beer i’ve ever had.

Bottle from Saucy Pears. Appearance - cloudy amber with a decent head. Nose - toffee cake. Burnt toffee almost liquorice. Taste - well melded citrus and toffee. Palate - medium bodied with a creamy yet tangy texture and a fairly good finish. Overall - lots going on but a bit too challenging.

500ml bottle from saucy pears. Deep hazy brown colour with an off white head. Aroma is a slightly spicy malt with a toffee sweetness. Taste is also slightly sweet.
