Cask at the Anchor, Digbeth, Birmingham. Poured a clear dark brown with a bubbly off white head. The aroma is smoky malt. The flavour is moderate to strong bitter with a dry early mineral smoke coffee malt palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Cask @ The Boot Inn, Burnley. Deep dark ruby with a thin bubbly head. Has a small sweetness in its nose with some roasted malt evident in its taste. It’s not high on coffee flavour but there’s some here, and it’s quite light textured for its strength.
