Bottle 330ml. Clear, dark-amber colour. Thin but long ecru colour head, great lacing. Aroma is malty with caramel, toast, biscuits notes and small hint of hops behind. It's delicate but very nice. Medium body, caramel with medium to high, herbal, long bitterness. It is rather in english than amercian IPA style but still is good, heavy in feeling, definitely not refreshing with "dull" bitterness.

Draft at Taps Beer Bar, Kuala Lumpur. Poured a hazy dark amber with a frothy white head and a little broken lace. The aroma is woody resin pine needle. The flavour is strong bitter with a smooth resin wood peppermint citrus hop palate and a lingering bitter finish. Medium bodied with average carbonation.

Bottle bought at Stewarts Wine, Brisbane, August 2014. Almost clear golden/orange with a small white head. Very hoppy with grapefruit, some grass and pine. The finish was nicely bitter and with some warming alcohol.

(Tap) Clear coppery amber with good white head. Good fall hoppy aroma. Light body nice carbonation. Lovely sweet and light start leads to an excellent big hoppy bitter finish. Overall a nicely balanced big IPA.

(Bottle, 0.33 l - bottled on 06/04/12, at Pikkulintu, 20120908) The beer poured mahogany coloured and clear. Its head was small and white. Aroma had pine, malts and sweetness. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were pine, sweetness, malts, fruitiness and bitterness. Aftertaste was hoppy and bitter. A nice beer with a little bit too much sweetness.

Lovely malt butterscotch aroma with a broad grapefuit front and a sharper lemon note. There’s just a hint of late chocolate and that 7% alcohol comes through a little too. When tasted, the hops are more prominent, mainly in the form of sour grapefruit, which is a touch overbearing, but if you really close your eyes and concentrate you get a little malt underneath the citrus assault. All up, a good double IPA, though not as good as the Mornington Peninsula Imperial IPA I had recently.
