Golden and bright, has a plasticy nose, esters but not going in any one direction. Sweet, sugar apples, candy floss, plastic, basically it has some complexity but none of the elements are actually positive.

Tasting at Matt’s
Dark blond color, clean. Some aroma of vegetables, spices and honey, very mild. Boozy and loaded with vegetable notes, unpleasant.

330mL bottle, pours a clear golden yellow with a small white head. Aroma brings out lots of perfumey notes, candied sugar, banana, Belgian yeast, and bubblegum. Flavour is messy and harsh, with banana, bubblegum and Belgian yeast. Harsh alcoholic mess on the finish. Very yeasty, incoherent and just not good overall.

Bottle at Taps Beer Bar, Kuala Lumpur. Poured a clear light amber with a frothy white head and a few bubbles. The aroma is bubblegum yeast, dry malt. The flavour is moderate bitter with a smooth yeast citrus biscuit malt, alcoholic bitter palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation. I think these guys could show the Belgians a thing or two!

Murky golden colour, white head. Bit dusty aroma, orange lemonade, raisins. Quite sweet flavour, raisins, madeira, malts. Fizzy. Sweet finish, raisins. Feels old, lacks a readable date though.
(from 33cL bottle shared @ a weekly tasting, Oirschot)

Bottle (BBF 26 june 2011) @ weekly tasting shared by Martinus. Murky yellow color, immediately disappearing off-white head. Smell is weird, blossom and something I really can’t put my finger on. Taste lightly malts, perfume, old, overripe fruits and weird. Average body, fizzy carbonation. Not good.

The aroma is honey, spices, alcohol and ripe fruit with a little toast. A reasonable amount of hops provides some respite from the alcohol, which is very prominent in the mouth (even for this style). A good tripel but not a classic.
