Bottle sample at a tasting at the Beer & Beyond shop. Thanks kerenmk. Clear golden. Weak apple aroma with a bit of DMS notes. Sweet flavor with artificial apple and saccharine. Light-bodied. Sickly sweet and unpleasant.

Bottle from Gluggles in York. Pours a light golden amber with a white smear for head. Aroma of something suggesting appleskin. Med body. Flavor is sweet. Too sweet. There is some astringency, but it’s almost pointless given the sugar level. I am shocked this aberration is bottled under the Wychwood Label. Brewers of Character? Shame, shame on Marstons.

Appearance: Clear golden color with an small bubbly white head.
Aroma: Apples and a bit sugary.
Palate: Medium body. Sweet and a low bitterness. Average carbonation.
Taste: Apple fruity. A bit artificial.
Overall impression: Very close to a cider. Should be served a bit colder on a hot sunny day.
Personal stats: Bottle from an off licence in Burton-on-Trent, England

Przeciętne piwo. Niby mieszanka piwa typu craft i cydru. W efekcie klasyfikowane jako piwo owocowe. Kolor żłoty, mocna piana, lepsza niż w cydrach. Dobrze schłodzone smakuje jak cydr ale taki bardziej treściwy no i z pianką oczywiście.

Oh dear: one of the sweetest and nastiest drinks I’ve had that calls it’s self a beer! 500ml bottle: best before 31 Mar 2013, poured down my sink on 24 Aug 2012. Golden to amber body; with a wisp and weak collar of a white nature. The smell and taste were just an over sugared apple juice with extra sweetners added when you weren’t looking. Managed about four sips before I sinked it.

Small yellowish, very fine ring over coldhazed orange-golden beer. Sharpish nose of apple, acetaldehyde, hardboard, but also essentialy sweet. Very sweet, faint touch of solvent/hardboard, sticky. Artificial fruitflavour. Feels quite carbonated, despite lacking visual evidence; slick to sticky. Bweeugh. My esteem for Wychwood has gotten some nasty blows, these last months.

500ml bottle. Pours gold with no head. Aroma basicly doesn’t exist. A tiny bit of apple and bread. Taste is artificially sweet. No apple or beer qualities. Just sweet.

50cl bottle from Morrisons. Amber with a fast fading white head; the aroma has a sweet, artificial, apple and malt combination that does nothing for me; the taste is the same and borders on offensive; with a sickbag finish. I won’t be trying this again.

Bottled 500ml (K-Kamppi, BB 02/2013)
Some kind of mix of cider and beer. Clear honey color, small white head. Apple, apple peels, some grainy notes. Light bodied. Sweet, honey sugary apple flavor. Some harsh grainy maltyness too. Cloying sweetness. Similar to some German radlers.
