A Helles is a traditional style of lager. Softer than a pilsner, clearer than a Kölsch, lighter in color than a Vienna. A few strong notes of either malts or hops are present. What The Helles? Is easy to drink because of its low alcohol percentage. Its dry, mild in bitterness and pleasantly malty. Cheers!

On tap at Kopaan Binnenhaven in The Hague-NLD. Unclear golden with an adhesive white foam. Nose: butter notes of dyacetil mostly. Mouth is thin, more butter with a bitter end. Not memorable at all!
