The US might be where the craft beer revolution kicked off, but we’d argue it wouldn’t be anywhere near where it is today without the ultra fruit-forward hype hops that come from a tiny corner of the South Pacific in New Zealand.
We’re always giddy with delight when a fresh shipment of NZ hops lands in our cold store, and like excited children on Christmas morning we couldn’t help playing with all our new toys in the form of a straight up 100% NZ-hopped IPA; the result being Soul Somewhere.
Featuring gentle additions on the hot side of Moutere and Rakau to impart an oily resinous bitterness, we’ve gone big on the cold side with even more Rakau, even more Moutere, alongside in house favourites Wai-Iti and Nelson Sauvin. Expect to find a cascading dance of crushed gooseberries, apricot, and stonefruit, before a zesty lime undercurrent balances things out.
