England’s only IPA blended by winemakers. Balfour IPA is made using a blend of three local, Kent hops; one classic, one modern and one almost forgotten. Each hop was carefully selected by the Balfour Winery winemakers to concoct a unique blend of the traditional with a modern twist. Smooth, nutty flavours developed by four malts blend into a light-bodied bitterness to form this session IPA.

330ml can poured at Royal Shakespeare in Stratford-upon-Avon - clear gold, no head. Rather lacklustre effort, some citrus quality but that's it.

11/6/2025. Bottle shared by Colin, cheers. Pours hazy amber bronze with a small frothy off-white head. Aroma is malty, herbal, butterscotch, grainy. Moderate sweetness, medium bitterness. Moderate body, quite lively. Drying finish. Not great.

Bottle on the 1045 KX-NCL lumo, thanks to Dave, 14/05/2025.
Deep amber to copper topped with a beige cap that thins to a swirl.
Nose is stewed fruits, orange peel, caramel, biscuit.
Taste comprises biscuit, herb, dull fruits, brown bread, hint of green apple.
Medium body, fine carbonation, semi drying close with little in the way of any hop presence.
Best stick to wine making chaps ... perhaps you're goos at that... you're clearly useless at brewing an IPA in 2025!
