Poured from 473mL can. Clear blonde gold with white head. Feint belgian yeast and esters with just a hint of phenols, a bit of wheat and spices, slightly fruity character, okay.

473mL can, pours a hazy golden orange with a medium white head. Nose doesn’t bring out an authentically tripel character – there’s some clove, maybe some banana, as advertised, but those are hefeweizen notes, so this already seems dubious given that the brewer advertises notes that do not characterize this as a typical tripel. I digress… beyond that, there’s light spicy yeast, and some low-level phenols (not exactly of the burnt rubber character). Flavour is very fruity, with lots of orange marmalade, some esters, a touch of vinous character almost, citrus, and some candi sugar. Well, this is anything but a classical tripel, but there’s definitely some nice flavour cohesion and even complexity here. Pretty good.

473 ml can. Pours amber with moderate head. Aromas of soft belgian yeast, mineral water, bready malts and a little sulphur. Flavors of fruity esters dominating Belgian yeast, wine gums, candied citrus and bready malts. A nice iteration though more malty and sweet than I’d expect for the style.
