Very clear, nice light copper and deep golden coloured body with a pretty nice two centimetre tall off-white and light tan coloured head that stays atop the five per cent opaque body well. Aroma of grassy, herbal, resinous and slightly citrusey hops with a touch of light biscuity malt and a lot of alpha acid punch. Light to Medium-bodied; Dry, grassy and herbal flavours show at first with a good hop bitterness and a soft sweetness from stone fruits and mild oranges with a light perfumey finish, but balanced nicely. Aftertaste is dry, slightly resinous and showing a bunch of alpha acid hop bitterness, just as you'd expect from the sub-style. The malt largely stays out of the way, just as you'd want, but the balance is nice here and makes this even better on the hop perspective. Overall, a nice hoppy, bitter, grassy and mild/easy-drinking IPA that's very old-school in a great way - making you wish these were more readily accessible, like they were in the Mid-2000s! Great Fresh! I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from Whole Foods in New York (NoMAD, 28th Street), New York on 10-May-2023 for US$3,99, canned on 07-March-2023 and sampled at my house here in Washington on 18-June-2023.
