Four different malts combine to give a beer with burnt, coffee and chocloate malt character. Slightly sweet on the palate, but moderate bitterness & fruity / Spicy aroma come from English grown Bramling Cross hops

Cask @ Drop Inn, Elland. Very dark with a thick frothy-creamy head. Easy-drinking and slightly thin, but with a palatably smooth dark malt sweetness.

On cask at the Guildford Arms. Appearance - opaque black. Thin head. Nose - light iodine and ink thing going on. Taste - soy sauce and charcoal. Burnt bread. Light Jamaica cake. Palate - medium bodied with a rich crunchy yet sweet texture. Dry crunchy finish. Overall - more of a stout than a porter I’d say. Very complex. Nice.

Black beer, beige head. Light malt aroma. Taste is malt, some coffee, a tangy sweetness. The coffee lingers. Would perhaps be a touch sickly over time but it’s quite nice.

Crown & Cattle, Manchester 23 Jan 13. Dyp amber. Litt farget skum. God røstet aroma med hint av mandler. Smaken det samme. OK - men litt kjedelig.

Cask at the Birmingham Beer Festival 2013. Poured a clear dark brown with a thin broken off white head. The aroma is roasted malt slightly smokey chocolate and coffee. The flavour is medium to weak bitter with a medium to weak bodied slightly watery palate and a short but smokey spice finish.
