6.96

Heist and their pals at the Charlotte Beer Collective brewed this Stout for the 2025 Queen City Brewers’ Festival, taking inspiration from a beloved dessert at Jon G’s Barbecue — Nutter Butter Pie.

The team captured the signature flavors of that nutty confection by conditioning a smooth Oatmeal Stout on toasted marshmallows and roasted peanuts. Not only did it win third place in the festival’s blind tasting event, it also earned a 4.21 on Untappd!

Tasting Notes
Every swig delivers delicious layers of silky vanilla, malty chocolate, and creamy peanut butter. And since it comes with a medium body and 7.3% ABV, you can absolutely call this sweet treat a snack and not dessert!

16 oz. Can. Aroma is mild peanut and a old / shelf aged chocolate. Body is thin for a stout. REAL light body. Flavor is soft peanuts and weak bitterness. I am looking to find marshmallow. I’m still searching. I was looking for something to make me want to drink more.

Can shared by CLW--thanks, Chris! Opaque black, nice head with good retention and trace lacing. Aroma is strong sweet roasted peanuts, marshmallow and roasted malt. Taste is sweet peanut, sweet roasted malt, marshmallow/sugary sweetness backdrop. Smooth texture, relatively thin body, soft carbonation and finish as taste. As advertised, this is more a small bag of chocolate-covered peanuts (snack) than a decadent dessert.

Can from Tavour. Pours dark brn/blk with a large foamy darkish tan head that persisted. Aroma has a lot of peanut with a chocolate note. Med body. Flavor is peanut, dark chocolaty malt and some marshmallow notes. Not dry, but avoids sticky. Enough bitterness for balance. Can't make out hops tho.
