This brown ale with very light toast and roast notes was fermented inside red wine barrels using Bourgogne wine yeast and a blend of Flanders yeast strains for 2 years. The result is a one off smooth and full bodied Flanders brown. Featuring rich fruit flavours of cherry, plum, cola and raspberries, complemented by a complex fermentation profile leaving funky dry notes with a balsamic sourness on top of the rich malt base.

Draft at Fierce Bar, Aberdeen. It pours clear deep red - brown with a small, khaki head. The aroma is sweet - sour, juicy, tangy, red fruits, cranberry, red grape, cherry, Bakewell tart, vanilla, custard, vinous, and jammy. The taste is crispy, dry, crunchy, vinous, sour, puckering, lactic, tangy, loads of cherry, raspberry, cranberry, redcurrant, light acetobachter, hint of red wine vinegar and gummy candy with a juicy finish. Medium body and soft carbonation. Lovely depth for the abv. Moreish and interesting.
