Roasted Barley gives this highly quaffable, dark brew its distinctive flavor and dry finish. The beer is balanced with a hint of bittersweet chocolate and a rich, smooth creaminess from oat malt and a nitrogen pour.

On tap at Stoup - Ballard, pours a deep dark brown with a small beige head. Aroma has a smooth toasted barley character, with little else—but it’s as the style calls for. Flavour is smooth, with a gentle toasted malt character dominating, with soft undertones of bitter coffee and cocoa powder. Pleasant for the style.

Dark brown. Nitro head. Toasty, slightly nutty aroma. Ok, a bit muted from the nitro, but civilized.
