Tasting Notes
Notes of toasted toffee and dark cherry course throughout the smooth sip, with ribbons of creamy vanilla underneath. As it warms, woody spice and hints of whiskey unravel on the palate, keeping the 11.2% ABV deceptively smooth.

Canned 4/10/25, drunk 8/13/25.
Very dark with mahogany and cola highlights. Clear. Medium-sized, beige head steadily to edge.
Whew, that's a lot of malt, accented with light vanilla and gently fruity Belgian yeast with a touch of pepper and clove. Bourbon is soft, gently spicy, gently sweet. Lots of plummy fruit and blackberry with light floral and fruity notes lingering. No alcohol noted, nothing aggressive.
Juicy and fruity with lots of chocolate, sweet blackberry-laced bourbon and soft vanilla. Rich, malty body but properly attenuated with no syrup. No booze here, either, which is impressive. Straddles a nice line between both styles without delving too deeply in to either. Doesn't get tiresome with Belgian esters/phenols, yet nor does it get tiresome with fudge, chocolate and intense bourbon of the stout. Nicely balanced and flavorful stuff. Not just some cookie cutter contemporary BA beer with syrupy fudge and intense barrel.

12oz can from Tavour. Dark brown pour, bubbly beige head settles to thin ring. Malty, roasty aroma, big helpings of Belgian yeast, chocolate, caramel. Taste leads with the rich malts and lots of yeast, bourbon, chocolate. Booziness hits right after the sweetness and stays in the gullet all the way down.

Can from Tavour. Pours very dark brown with a creamy tan head. Aroma of dark/burnt toffee and dark fruit. Arguably full bodied. Flavor is the aroma plus cherry and bourbon. Also some yeast/spice, wood and more. Lots going on here. Great ale.
