Cask half at Cock & Hoop, Nottingham. Pours deep brown with a ruby hue, cream/beige foam. Malt, caramel, toffee, nuts. The taste follows, some dried fruits too, towards moderate sweet, very smooth. Medium body with fine carbonation. Very tidy indeed.

Cask at Kings Yard, Shifnal. Pours a hazy deep burgundy with a small cream / yellow foamy head and good lacing. There’s a creamy aroma with malts and toffee to hand. In the mouth it is sweet and creamy (almost cloying). In the mouth, alcoholic strength is immediately apparent along with malts, dried fruit and figs with traces of honey coming through later. Finish is slightly sweet. This is excellent !
