Huge thanks to Erzengel for sharing! Bottle looks simple but good. Beer in the glass deep black, small head. Intense roasty malty aroma. Starts heavy malty, a bit alcoholic-soapy. Finish warming malty, intense earthy-roasty-malty notes. Some bitter chocolate. Could be a bit more balanced. But still very nice.

330mL bottle, pours black with a small light brown head. Nose reveals moderate roast, a little soy sauce and iodine, and dry chalky cocoa. Flavour is more pronouncedly roasty, with plenty of roasted malt, dusty dry cocoa, and some bitter hops showing up in the back-end. Some alcohol is felt on the finish as well. Unspectacular, but sturdy and easy-to-drink for the style. Good stuff.

0.33 l bottle from 'craftbeer-shop.com', 2018 vintage, cellared for less than a year. Clear, very dark ruby to black with a thin, frothy, almost stable, beige head. Sweetish-malty, gently roasty, slightly boozy and a little woody aroma of praline, red berries, oak, brandy and a touch of dark fruits. Gently sweet, malty, quite roasty, moderately woody-vinous taste of dark chocolate, oak, red berries, brandy, licorice and some whisky, followed by a medium long, gently roasty-bitter, slightly earthy, moderately woody and a bit vinous finish with a touch of alcohol. Medium to full body, smooth and slightly creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Fairly complex with nice flavours from the wood and the different spirits, good RIS!

Fläschla: Literally black, small brownish foamy layer, complex moderate to solid sweet-bitter aroma of toasted malt, dried fruits and port-wine, surrounded by wanilla and vood; moderate sweet-bitter flavour, full bodied, not overly soft; sweet-bitter toasty-malty finish with a slight alcohol-burn in the aftertaste. Just good...
