This bottle was issued exclusively for Mikkeller Beer Celebration Copenhagen 2025.
For this small batch Druif, we blended a portion of two grape lambikken before ageing them further on a wooden barrel. Both the Spätburgunder (German name for Pinot Noir) and the Portugieser grapes went into maceration end of September 2022 and we aged the grape lambic for another five months. Lambikken used were one-, two- and three years old, coming off four different barrels and originating from nine different brews. The weighted average age of this blend surpasses the 30 months upon bottling. Final fruit intensity of 535 grams of grapes per litre of Druif. Bottle count: 840. Origins of the grapes: Rheinhessen, Germany. Show Less

750ml @ Ryan's shared with Farees and Phill.
Aroma: funky, noticeable manure, bold, juicy, grapes.
Taste: along the same lines, very low carbonation, a lot of manure and grapes must.
Overall: interesting one.

Poured from 750mL bottle (no 96; 22/23 season; bottled 18/08/2023); Hazed brownish red with minimal white head. Very mild vinous character, with soft tartness, manure, subdued, but blends nicely, decent. Slightly prefer the Pruim MBCC 2025. Enjoy it more with some dregs (had the first pour) +0.1.
