bottle (1294/2000) from beergium. pitch dark, smooth, very smooth brown head. smooth strong roasted malty aroma with finer notes of whisky and wood. very velvety and smooth. flavor is roasted malts, cough candy, booze, quite bitter , quite woody, a bit one dimensional, but tastes quite well. the body doesn't really get as crazy as 13% would indicate, leaving a somewhat watery feeling to it. Still flavor is quite hard roasted and lotsa wood ish' and there are no failts that i can detect. a decent hardcore sipper if you are up to it.
