500ml can from Brewers Haven. Dark amber pour with abundant off-white fluffy head. Malty aroma, brown bread. Taste is malty with mild sweetness. Some vegetal notes towards the finish, but does not distract from the beer.

Still don’t quite now what a rotbier is. Cherry chestnut colored and pretty head. Nose is malt and some fruit. Tastes of malt, hint of campfire, cherry, tobacco. Medium light bodied. Kinda gave me headache

Tap at Tucher Bräu am Opernhaus. Amber brown murky. Nose is land, hay, sour. Taste is bubblegum melanoidin, soft creamy caramel, with a grainy sticky aftertaste.

Bottle online from Raynville Superstore. Pours a murky muddy reddish colour with a medium sized thick creamy off white head. Aromas of caramel, toffee, dry dark fruits and brown bread. Taste has more caramel, toffee, dry dark fruits, red berries and toasty brown bread. A touch of roasted malts and earthy hops on a very slightly bitter finish. Nicely balanced. Full body, fairly low carbonation and thick smooth sticky mouthfeel. This is my first ever Rotbier and it is excellent. Looking forward to the next one. Good stuff.
